October and November means Earthdog in Ohio as we are fortunate to have two earthdog test weekends held during those months.
The weekend of October 14 and 15, 2017, I judged earthdog at the Columbus All-Breed Training Club's test. Entries were down a bit which is unfortunate as it was a great weekend weather-wise and Columbus All-Breed has a nice facility for dog events. Indoor crating and hot food prepared by club members (and indoor toilets!) are part of the amenities provided by this club for their tests.
This past weekend, I judged earthdog for Gem City Dog Obedience Club at their outdoor facility located close to Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton, Ohio. It was perfect weather for earthdog and I was happy to see quite a few Qualifying runs, a couple of new titles, and a lot of new dogs that showed potential for the earthdog sport.
Earthdog is now put to bed for the year and will start back up again towards the end of April 2018.
