CHILI BEAN

Meadowlake Chili Bean

Chili Bean was our very first Border Terrier.  He became a member of our family in December 1999 and was the best dog that a family could want to have.

COCOA

Meadowlake Cocoa Bean

Cocoa was with us for a very short 6 years when she found a way out of our backyard and was struck and killed by a train less than a mile from our house.  She was a great little dog and a very avid hunter.

REGGIE

Am/Can CH Meadowlake No Regrets RA AX OAJ AXP AJP ME CG CGC VX

CHIC #19392

Sire: CH Greenroom Curtain Call (Bosie)
Dam: CH Rainsbarrow Lapsana WC (Penny)

Even though Reggie was my third Border Terrier, he was my 'first' dog in so many ways.  Together, he and I earned conformation championships in the United States and Canada, Rally Obedience titles, Agility titles, Earthdog titles, an AWTA Certificate of Gameness and the AKC Canine Good Citizen award.  Reggie also earned the BTCA Versatility and Versatility Excellent Awards through his participation and titling in multiple events.

Reggie truly was my heart dog and I was devastated when he passed away in December 2011.

HALO

CH Meadowlake Angel In My Pocket RL1 NA NAJ NAP NJP JE CGC TDI V

CHIC #42184
(includes SLEM Clear/Normal)

Sire: Am/Can CH Meadowlake Devil's Brew (Killian)
Dam: Am/Can CH Meadowlake Watch Me Shine (Shine)

Halo was the foundation for Aardehond Border Terriers and passed away at 16-1/2 years old.  She was a wonderful companion, teammate, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, over the years.

Halo's first litter consisted of two girls, both now AKC Grand Champions.  One of the girls from the first litter is BIS BISS GCH World Winner Meadowlake Simply Sinful (Maya) who was the Number 1 Border Terrier in Breed and All Breed Points in 2011 and 2012.  Maya retired in early 2013 after earning her
14th Best In Show, thereby breaking the record of Best In Shows earned by a Border Terrier (previously 13).  Maya was brought out of retirement after becoming a mother in the summer of 2013 to show at the 2014 Westminster Kennel Club show and received both Best of Breed and a Terrier Group 3 ... a wonderful result considering she hadn't stepped into a show ring for almost a year at that point!

Together, Halo and I earned a Rally Novice title, Novice Agility titles and a Junior Earthdog title.  She also earned qualifying runs in Open Standard and Jumpers with Weaves (agility) and two qualifying runs towards a Senior Earthdog title.  Halo also earned an AKC Canine Good Citizen award and was certified as a therapy dog with Therapy Dogs International.  She received the
BTCA Versatility Award in 2008.
